SI-MBR3-1 (Or Simbrel, as they’re affectionately known) is one of the first ScorpInc CombatBots developed to have sentience. This meant Simbrel not only has an extensive range of built-in autocannons and wire-guided missiles, but also the awareness to judge and recalculate in any given combat situation. Simbrel’s combination of code-based and behaviour-based programming made them and their production-siblings the major selling point for ScorpInc’s next generation of mercenary forces.
As with all things, time and technology moves on. The Simbrel units are no longer cutting edge. Glitches in arcane code and degrading hardware mean their time on the front lines has come to an end. What next for a sentient CombatBot?
Most companies in the industry would simply release these bots from service without re-entry training or assistance, leaving them to try and make sense of a strange world no longer made up of wetwork and warm targets. They are then activated to chase the walker, runner, or cyclist. Those who do not increase their pace will receive an encouraging warning shot from our Simbrels.
